Planned Transit Services Northeast Corridor Premium Transit

Description: The Northeast Corridor will provide a high-capacity transit connection along a 13.6-mile corridor extending from downtown Miami, through Little Haiti, to NE 215th Street, generally along the Biscayne Boulevard/U.S. 1 Corridor and FEC Railroad right-of-way. The corridor has been identified as part of the Peoples Transportation Plan for possible funding by the half-cent sales revenues established by referendum in 2002.

Status: Federal, state, and local planning processes to determine feasibility, technology, and corridor alignment need to be completed before the project can proceed into the design and construction phase of project development.

Schedule: Construction after 2028.
