WASD receives grant funding for High Efficiency Toilet Rebate program
Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department is one of nine recipients of grant funding from the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD)'s Water Savings Incentive Program (WaterSIP).
WASD received $30,000 in funding for fiscal year 2011-2012 that will be used to support the successful Residential High Efficiency Toilet (HET) Rebate program. The HET program is estimated to save 12.7 million gallons a year when residents replace their old, inefficient toilets with new HET models.
