CRB’s Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Committee to discuss Miami-County’s Homeless Population of Registered Sex Offenders

MIAMI – The Miami-Dade County Community Relations Board (CRB), under the Office of Community Advocacy, will hold its monthly Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Committee meeting at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26, in conference room 18-3 of the Stephen P. Clark Center, 111 NW 1st Street, Miami, Florida. This month’s meeting discussion will include the County’s cease-and-desist notice and the deadline of December 5 for the registered sex offenders to leave the encampment in order to avoid arrest; this is not the first time this population faces eviction and is forced to find new place for encampment.

The Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Committee brings together professionals in this subject matter and community leaders of good will to establish an agenda for enhanced relations with the community. All meetings of the Community Relations Board are open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend and learn more about the work of the board.

For more information, please contact Miami-Dade County Community Relations Board Director Shirley Plantin, EJD at 305-375-1406.
