Commissioner Gilbert launches 2025 Mom and Pop Small Business Grant Program


MIAMI-DADE – Small business owners within District 1 are invited to apply for Commissioner Oliver G. Gilbert, III’s Mom and Pop Small Business Grant Program. Business owners who meet the eligibility requirements can receive up to $5,000 per business. Grants awarded may be used to purchase inventory/supplies, business equipment, marketing/advertising, building/business insurance, minor interior/exterior renovations, security system for commercial property, commercial property lease or mortgage, work vehicle, and professional services and training. Applications are available starting February 3 through February 14, 2025, online and in-person at Commissioner Gilbert’s District 1 Office, 17988 NW 27th Ave., Miami Gardens, FL 33056.

Completed applications will be accepted from February 17 through February 25, 2025, by 4 p.m., at Commissioner Gilbert's District 1 Office.

All business owners interested in applying must meet the following eligibility criteria:
