MIAMI-DADE – On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, District 5 Commissioner Eileen Higgins proudly celebrated the opening of Magnus Brickell, a state-of-the-art, mixed-income residential development located in the heart of Brickell. With nearly 500 units, Magnus Brickell marks a significant milestone in addressing the housing needs of our growing County while ensuring that affordable and workforce housing continues to be a top priority.

“I am incredibly proud to celebrate the opening of Magnus Brickell,” said Commissioner Eileen Higgins. “This project is about creating homes for families who need them the most. With 93 units for very low-income residents and 70 for workforce families, we are taking a big step toward ensuring that everyone in our community, regardless of income, has access to a place they can truly call home. Located just steps away from transit options, Magnus Brickell connects residents to better job opportunities, healthcare, and schools. And with a new K-8 school right next door, it’s the perfect place for children and families to thrive. This is what progress looks like, and I’m excited for what’s to come.”

Magnus Brickell stands as the largest single-phase mixed-income venture in Miami-Dade County to date. This innovative public-private partnership between Related Urban, Miami-Dade County Housing & Community Development, and Miami-Dade County Public Schools exemplifies how strategic investments in affordable housing can shape the future of our County.

The development consists of 465 residences, offering a blend of affordable, workforce, and market-rate housing. The project is truly one-of-a-kind, featuring top-tier amenities such as an expansive sun deck, a resort-style swimming pool, a state-of-the-art fitness center, pet-friendly spaces, a podcast studio, Wi-Fi-enabled coworking spaces, and panoramic views of the iconic Brickell skyline.

“We extend our heartfelt thanks to Related Group for being exceptional partners in this endeavor,” added Commissioner Higgins. “Their dedication to getting things done is inspiring, and we look forward to continuing our work together on future projects that will further address our County’s housing needs.”

Magnus Brickell is a “Class-A” mixed-use, transit-oriented development situated next to a new urban K-8 public school and within walking distance of light rail transit. This project underscores the importance of integrating housing with transportation and educational resources, making it an exemplary model for future developments in the County.

As Miami-Dade continues to grow, Commissioner Higgins remains committed to expanding housing opportunities that support residents across all income levels. Magnus Brickell is an important step forward in ensuring that Miami-Dade remains a place where all families, no matter their income, can thrive.
