There are a variety of housing programs and services available depending on the individual needs and circumstances of our clients. These pages contain information on those programs and how clients and housing providers can either access services or help meet our community's growing housing needs.

All of the names of applicants who completed MDHA's Waiting List online registration between July 1-31, 2008 have been entered into an electronic lottery in which a computer randomly selected their names and assigned them two ranking positions, one for the Public Housing, Moderate Rehabilitation and Section 8 New Construction programs and another one for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher  program.

Attention Public Housing and Section 8 residents, the deadline for filing for the Economic Stimulus Payment (Tax Rebate) is October 15, 2008. Make sure you get your 2007 stimulus payment in time!

Miami-Dade County's Housing Assistance Grant Program can help eligible residents with relocation expenses.

• The Link-Up and Lifeline Florida Assistance Programs are designed to ensure that all residents of Florida have affordable access to telephone service and connections in their homes. Customers of participating telecommunications providers can now apply online using the Public Service Commission Secure On-line Application Form.
• At midnight on February 17, 2009, all television stations in the United States will stop broadcasting in analog and switch to 100% digital broadcasting. You will need a TV Converter box in order to keep using your analog TV set. Congress created the TV Converter Box Coupon Program for households to obtain up to two coupons, each worth $40, that can be applied toward the cost of eligible converter boxes

Prospective first-time homebuyers enrolled in the Community Homebuyer Club can attend the mandatory workshops. Subjects include budgeting, credit issues, the loan process, shopping for a home, homeowners insurance, home inspections and appraisals.
