Office of the Chair

The Chair presides over all the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners meetings and appoints the chairpersons, vice chairpersons, and members of all commission committees. Additionally, oversees other boards and offices under his purview.

The Office of Agenda Coordination coordinates the legislative process for Miami-Dade County.

Film Miami is a full-service film commission with a mission to support and strengthen Miami-Dade County’s creative economy and make it accessible to all.

International Trade Consortium

The International Trade Consortium addresses issues affecting international trade, assists staff in yearly measurable objectives, program priorities, and recommends the agency's budget for consideration by the Mayor and County Commission.

Media Division

The Board of County Commissioners' (BCC) Media Division is the communications link between the Board of County Commissioners and residents. The division is available to direct media inquiries, arrange interview requests, coordinate public records requests and supply commission-related materials to the news media.

Youth Engagement Program (YEP)

The Miami-Dade County Youth Engagement Program (YEP), an initiative under the auspices of the Office of the Chair, aims to provide a unique, hands-on opportunity to engage with and gain a deeper understanding of their local government. This immersive two-week program is open to Miami-Dade County high school students, targeting incoming freshmen through incoming seniors, and will take place from Monday, July 13 through Friday, July 24, 2026. All participating students are expected to attend daily, Monday through Friday, for the full duration of the program.

Women's Hall of Fame

The Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners established the Miami-Dade County Women’s Hall of Fame in 2021 to recognize and honor women who have improved the quality of life of individuals and communities throughout Miami-Dade County. The Hall of Fame honors women who have made significant contributions to the improvement of life for women and for all residents of Miami-Dade County and preserves the legacies of important women whose contributions to Miami-Dade County should not be forgotten.
