- Effective immediately, all new-hire candidates will be required to obtain their own COVID-19 (nasal test) medical screening prior to being scheduled for a pre-employment physical examination and criminal history background check. This will also be required for all temporary employees prior to being scheduled for a background screening. Results must be obtained from a reputable laboratory which meets the CDC requirements and must be presented at the time of pre-employment medical examination.
- Results should not be older than 14 days. Candidates who have tested positive for COVID-19 are required to provide two negative results 24 hours apart and candidates who have possibly been exposed to COVID-19 and have a pending result, will be required to provide one negative test result.

The Human Resources Department provides centralized personnel services for all County departments.
We work with departments to identify and assist with workforce issues including a renewed emphasis on performance management and standardized discipline policies, employee development and knowledge transfer, ongoing evaluation of workplace rules, and implementation of workforce metrics to measure and analyze overtime utilization, absenteeism, appeals, payroll issues, and employee development needs.
