RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE COUNTY MAYOR OR COUNTY MAYOR�S DESIGNEE TO DETERMINE THE 100 MOST UTILIZED PLUMBING SUPPLIES BY DOLLAR VALUE BY MIAMI-DADE COUNTY; AND DIRECTING THE COUNTY MAYOR OR COUNTY MAYOR�S DESIGNEE TO PREPARE AND PLACE A REPORT REGARDING SUCH DETERMINATION ON AN AGENDA OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WITHIN 90 DAYS

WHEREAS, the Miami-Dade County Water and Sewer Department owns and operates thousands of miles of sub-surface water and sewer pipes; and
WHEREAS, Miami-Dade County owns and operates numerous buildings and structures; and
WHEREAS, plumbing supplies for use in the water and sewer system, and plumbing supplies for repair and maintenance for existing infrastructure, are currently purchased on an as-needed basis; and
WHEREAS, bulk purchases of frequently used plumbing supplies might provide cost savings for the County,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
Section 1. The County Mayor or County Mayor�s designee is directed to determine the 100 most purchased plumbing supplies by dollar value for the 2025, 2024, and 2023 Fiscal Years.��� The County Mayor or County Mayor�s designee may utilize artificial intelligence to assist in making this determination.
Section 2. Within 90 days of the effective date of this Resolution, the County Mayor or County Mayor�s designee shall prepare a report identifying the plumbing supplies identified in section 1 and the methodologies used to compile this list, and pursuant to rule 5.06(j) of the Board�s Rules of Procedure, place the completed report on an agenda of the full Board without committee review.
