TITLE
RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. R-358-26 AND CODESIGNATING THAT PORTION OF NORTHWEST 25TH STREET BETWEEN NORTHWEST 117TH AVENUE AND NORTHWEST 112TH AVENUE AS �OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE STREET�; URGING THE CITY OF SWEETWATER TO JOIN IN THIS CODESIGNATION

WHEREAS, on May 5, 2026, this Board adopted Resolution No. R-358-26 which codesignated that portion of Northwest 25th Street between Northwest 117th Avenue and Northwest 112th Avenue as �Monsignor Tom�s Mar�n Street� and urged the City of Sweetwater to join in the codesignation; and
WHEREAS, as described in Resolution No. R-358-26, Monsignor Tom�s Mar�n was the founding pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, located at 11691 Northwest 25th Street in the City of Doral; and
WHEREAS, that portion of Northwest 25th Street between Northwest 117th Avenue and Northwest 112th Avenue is a County-maintained road located in the City of Sweetwater and within County Commission District 12; and
WHEREAS, this Board would now like to amend Resolution No. R-358-26 and codesignate that portion of Northwest 25th Street between Northwest 117th Avenue and Northwest 112th Avenue as �Our Lady of Guadalupe Street�,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board:
Section 1. Having considered this matter at a public hearing, amends Resolution No. R-358-26 and codesignates that portion of Northwest 25th Street between Northwest 117th Avenue and Northwest 112th Avenue as �Our Lady of Guadalupe Street�.
Section 2. Urges the City of Sweetwater to join in this codesignation.
Section 3. Directs the Clerk of the Board to send certified copies of this resolution to the Mayor and City Commission of the City of Sweetwater, the United States Postal Service, the Traffic Signals and Signs Division of the Department of Transportation and Public Works, the Development Services Division of the Regulatory and Economic Resources Department, the Miami-Dade Sheriff�s Office, the Miami-Dade County Fire Rescue Department, and the City of Sweetwater Police Department.
