This Board directs the County Mayor or County Mayors designee to work with the Miami-Dade Sheriffs Office to identify vacant or underutilized County-owned parcels that could be suitable for MDSO, including for administrative, operational, training, storage, or related public safety purposes. In conducting this review, the County Mayor or County Mayors designee shall evaluate factors such as parcel size, location, zoning, accessibility, and any legal or operational constraints, as well as whether the parcel is required to meet a higher-priority County need. Section 2. This Board directs the County Mayor or County Mayors designee to provide a written report to this Board within 90 days of the effective date of this resolution, with such report to describe the methodology used to conduct the search, the relevant factors that were considered, how many suitable properties were identified, and any recommendations regarding feasibility and potential administrative or operational steps the County may consider to effectuate the purpose of this resolution. The County Mayor or County Mayor's designee shall place the completed report on an agenda of the full Board without committee review pursuant to Rule 5.06(j) of the Board's Rules of Procedure. |
