Board of County Commissioners 4/8/2014 5A Adopted P
REPORT: First Assistant County Attorney Abigail Price-Williams read the foregoing proposed resolution into the record. Chairwoman Sosa opened the public hearing on the foregoing item. Mr. Alan Rigerman appeared in connection with the foregoing proposed resolution and asked that the boundaries for Palm Spring North be also considered. Ms. Barbara Hagan, 7336 Bay Hill Drive, Country Club of Miami, appeared in support of the foregoing proposed resolution. She thanked Commissioners Bovo and Jordan for sponsoring this proposed legislation, noting auto and homeowners’ insurance for Country Club of Miami residents would now be based on the proper geographic designation. Chairwoman Sosa closed the public hearing after no one else appeared wishing to speak. In response to Commissioner Moss’ inquiry, Assistant County Attorney Dennis Kerbel said he was not sure of the Post Office’s designation; however, he believed the designation was by municipalities. He noted the post offices made their own decisions. Hearing no further questions or comments, the Board proceeded to vote on the foregoing resolution, as presented.
