RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 1166-06, THE DONATION OF ONE 2001 DODGE VAN TO THE MIAMI DADE RESCUE RAILROAD, INC., AND AUTHORIZING ITS DONATION TO THE CITY OF NORTH MIAMI BEACH

BODY
WHEREAS, the vehicle described below is owned by Miami-Dade County; and
WHEREAS, the Board declared the vehicle to be surplus on October 10, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the Board donated the vehicle to the Miami Dade Rescue Railroad, Inc. on October 10, 2006 pursuant to Resolution No. 1166-06, but the Miami Dade Rescue Railroad never collected the vehicle and rejected the donation; and
WHEREAS, the City of North Miami Beach, (the �Donee�) intends to use the vehicle to support its police sponsored citizens crime watch patrol in connection with its governmental mission; and
WHEREAS, the Donee is a governmental unit as defined in Section 274.05 of the Florida Statutes, and section 2-11.2.1 of the Code of Miami-Dade County; and
WHEREAS, Miami-Dade County General Services Administration has complied with the requirements of Section 2-11.2.1, by offering the vehicle to other Miami-Dade County Agencies, none of which accepted the vehicle; and
WHEREAS, the vehicle is eligible for donation under Section 274.05 of the Florida Statutes, and Section 2-11.2.1 of the Code of Miami-Dade County,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
Section 1. This Board rescinds Resolution No. 1166-06, approving the donation of the following surplus vehicle, with the listed residual value and other characteristics, to the Miami Dade Rescue Railroad, Inc. and authorizes its donation to the City of North Miami Beach.

Section 2. The Donee shall be responsible for any and all costs of transferring the vehicle. The County Manager shall and is hereby directed to take any and all actions necessary to effectuate the intent of this resolution.
