TITLE
RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE COUNTY MANAGER TO PROVIDE OFFICE SPACE AT THE JOSEPH CALEB CENTER FOR THE HISTORIC HAMPTON HOUSE COMMUNITY TRUST, INC., A NON-PROFIT FLORIDA CORPORATION

BODY
WHEREAS, The Historic Hampton House Community Trust, Inc. is a registered Florida non-profit corporation, organized for the purpose of providing education, historical, and cultural development to Miami-Dade County through the acquisition, renovation and use of the Historic Hampton House as a multi-purpose community center and providing oversight for its use and management; and
WHEREAS, the renovation of the Historic Hampton House is presently in its design phase; and
WHEREAS, The Historic Hampton House Community Trust, Inc. presently occupies a small office on the 7th Floor of the Joseph Caleb Center; and
WHEREAS, The Historic Hampton House Community Trust, Inc. requires a small office space to occupy for a limited time while overseeing the renovation of the Historic Hampton House; and
WHEREAS, there is sufficient office space presently available at the Joseph Caleb Center that is not needed for County purposes,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the County Manager is directed to prepare leases that provide a small office space for the use of The Historic Hampton House Community Trust, Inc. at the Caleb Center on a renewable yearly basis for a rent of $1.00 per year with the lease to expire upon completion of the renovation of the Historic Hampton House.
