RESOLUTION RETROACTIVELY AUTHORIZING IN-KIND SERVICES FROM THE MIAMI-DADE TRANSIT AGENCY FOR THE NOVEMBER 15-16, 2007 GALA DINNER OF THE WESTERN HEMISPHERE SYMPOSIUM OF THE AMERICAS SPONSORED BY THE ASSOCIATION DES CONSEILLERS DU COMMERCE EXTERIEUR DE LA FRANCE, A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $4,098.00 TO BE FUNDED FROM THE COUNTYWIDE IN-KIND RESERVE FUND

BODY
WHEREAS, the Association Des Conseillers du Commerce Exterieur de la France, Inc. has requested in-kind services from the Miami-Dade Transit Agency for the November 15-16, 2007 Gala Dinner of the Western Hemisphere Symposium of The Americas in an amount not to exceed $4,098.00 (see attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application); and
WHEREAS, the Gala Dinner of the Western Hemisphere Symposium of the Americas will bring together high level executives from the United States, Latin America and European countries as well as foreign trade advisors, public officials, political leaders and various business sector leaders from local and French companies to discuss the potential growth and expansion of the US economic market; and
WHEREAS, Association Des Conseillers du Commerce Exterieur de la France, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization; and
WHEREAS, the Gala Dinner of the Western Hemisphere Symposium of The Americas is a special event, as that term is defined on the attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application, and the fee waiver shall be funded from the Countywide In-kind Reserve Fund,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board retroactively authorizes in-kind services from the Miami-Dade Transit Agency for November 15-16, 2007 Gala Dinner of the Western Hemisphere Symposium of the Americas in an amount not to exceed $4,098.00 to be funded from the Countywide In-kind Reserve Fund.
