TITLE
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING IN-KIND SERVICES FROM THE MIAMI-DADE PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT FOR THE MARCH 15, 2008 SUMMER GAMES AND COMPETITION SPONSORED BY THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS FLORIDA, INC. A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,466.00 TO BE FUNDED FROM THE DISTRICT 12 IN-KIND RESERVE FUND

BODY
in-kind services from the Miami-Dade Park and Recreation Department for the March 15, 2008 Summer Games and Competition event in an amount not to exceed $1,466.00 (see attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application); and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Summer Games and Competition is to host competitive events such as cycling, tennis, soccer, and volleyball, and to provide free health screenings; and
WHEREAS, the Special Olympics Florida, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization; and
WHEREAS, the Summer Games and Competition is a small event, as that term is defined on the attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application, and the in-kind services shall be funded from the District 12 In-kind Reserve Fund,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board authorizes in-kind services from the Miami-Dade Park and Recreation Department for the March 15, 2008 Summer Games and Competition in an amount not to exceed $1,466.00 to be funded from the District 12 In-kind Reserve Fund.
