TITLE
RESOLUTION RETROACTIVELY AUTHORIZING IN-KIND SERVICES FROM THE GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION FOR THE JULY 13, 2008 ''ZO'S SUMMER GROOVE BLOCK PARTY'' EVENT SPONSORED BY THE ALONZO MOURNING CHARITIES, INC., A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $500.00 TO BE FUNDED IN PART FROM THE DISTRICT 3 AND DISTRICT 5 IN-KIND RESERVE FUNDS

BODY
WHEREAS, the Alonzo Mourning Charities, Inc. has requested in-kind services from the General Services Administration for the July 13, 2008 ''Zo's Summer Groove Block Party'' event in an amount not to exceed $500.00 (see attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application); and
WHEREAS, ''Zo's Summer Groove Block Party'' will be a pre-game event to kick off the All-Star Basketball Game; and
WHEREAS, this free event which is open to the public will feature music, food, giveaways and entertainment; and
WHEREAS, Alonzo Morning Charities, Inc. is a not-for-profit public fundraising foundation; and
WHEREAS, ''Zo's Summer Groove Block Party'' is a special event, as defined in the attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application and the in-kind services shall be funded in part from the District 3 and District 5 In-kind Reserve Funds,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board retroactively authorizes in-kind services from the General Services Administration for the July 13, 2008 ''Zo's Summer Groove Block Party'' event in an amount not to exceed $500.00 to be funded in part from the District 3 and District 5 In-kind Reserve Funds.
