TITLE
RESOLUTION RETROACTIVELY AUTHORIZING IN-KIND SERVICES FROM THE GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION FOR THE JULY 12, 2009 �ZO�S SUMMER GROOVE BLOCK PARTY� SPONSORED BY THE ALONZO MOURNING CHARITIES, INC., A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $500.00 TO BE FUNDED IN PART FROM THE DISTRICT 3 AND 5 IN-KIND RESERVE FUNDS

BODY
WHEREAS, Alonzo Mourning Charities, Inc. has requested in-kind services from the General Services Administration for the July 12, 2009 �Zo�s Summer Groove Block Party� in an amount not to exceed $500.00 (see attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application); and
WHEREAS, �Zo�s Summer Groove Block Party� is a free event which gives participants an opportunity to, among other things, meet celebrity guests, enjoy the Fun Zone for children and visit the Health Village; and
WHEREAS, Alonzo Mourning Charities, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization; and
WHEREAS, the �Zo�s Summer Groove Block Party� is a small event, as defined in the attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application, and $500.00 of the in-kind services shall be funded in part from the District 3 and 5 In-kind Reserve Funds,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board retroactively authorizes in-kind services from the General Services Administration for the July 2, 2009 �Zo�s Summer Groove Block Party� in an amount not to exceed $500.00 to be funded in part from the District 3 and 5 In-kind Reserve Funds.
