County Attorney 8/4/2009 Assigned Shannon D. Summerset

Board of County Commissioners 5/5/2009 11A10 Amended Adopted as amended P
REPORT: Commissioner Edmonson indicated that she had an amendment to the foregoing proposed resolution. Assistant County Attorney Shannon Summerset read the following amendment to the “Now Therefore” clause of this proposed resolution as follows: “that this Board does hereby Direct the Mayor or the Mayor’s designee to prepare a report on the economic condition of each commission district and where possible, by smaller geographic areas within each district, such as zip codes. The report shall at a minimum contain the unemployment rate, foreclosure rate, and poverty rate for each commission district. Ms. Summerset advised the language “and Area Median Income” would be deleted. She further advised this proposed resolution would be further amended to require that the Mayor shall bring the report to the Board of County Commissioners within sixty days rather than forty-five days. In response to Commissioner Seijas' suggestion, Assistant County Attorney Summerset recommended the language “…or other suitable areas” be added after “…such as zip codes.” Commissioner Edmonson accepted this amendment. There being no further comments or questions, the Commission proceeded to vote on this proposed resolution as amended.
