TITLE
RESOLUTION WAIVING BY A TWO-THIRDS (2/3) VOTE OF THE MEMBERS PRESENT THE TERM LIMIT RESTRICTION FOR COUNTY BOARD MEMBERS AS SPECIFIED IN SECTION 2-11.38.2 OF THE CODE OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY AND AUTHORIZING THE RE-APPOINTMENT OF LINDA ZILBER TO THE CITIZENS� INDEPENDENT TRANSPORTATION TRUST (CITT)

BODY

WHEREAS, Linda Zilber has served on the Citizens� Independent Transportation Trust (CITT) with distinction for nearly eight years; and
WHEREAS, Linda Zilber is currently serving as Chairwoman of the CITT; and
WHEREAS, Section 2-11.38.2 of the Code of Miami-Dade County authorizes a waiver of the eight year term limit for members of County Boards by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the County Commission members present; and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Sally A. Heyman wishes to appoint Linda Zilber to an additional four year term
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board hereby waives by a two thirds (2/3) vote of the members present the term limit restriction for County Board members and authorizes the re-appointment of Linda Zilber to an additional four year term on the Citizens� Independent Transportation Trust (CITT).
