TITLE
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE STATE ROAD CODESIGNATION OF NW 59TH STREET BETWEEN NW 27TH AVENUE AND NW 25TH AVENUE AS �MARGARET HAINES STREET�

BODY
WHEREAS, during the 2012 regular session, the Florida Legislature passed HB 7039, which, among other codesignations, codesignated NW 59th Street between NW 27th Avenue and NW 25th Avenue as �Margaret Haines Street�; and
WHEREAS, Margaret Haines is active in community outreach activities in Miami-Dade County; and
WHEREAS, section 334.071, Florida Statutes, provides that the installation of road codesignation signs shall be contingent on the applicable county or city commission passing a resolution in support of the particular honorary road codesignation; and
WHEREAS, NW 59th Street between NW 27th Avenue and NW 25th Avenue is a county road located in unincorporated Miami-Dade County; and
WHEREAS, this codesignation is located in County Commission District 3,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board:
Section 1. Approves the state codesignation of NW 59th Street between NW 27th Avenue and NW 25th Avenue as �Margaret Haines Street.�

Section 2. Directs the Clerk of the Board to send certified copies of this Resolution to the United States Postal Service, the Traffic Signals and Signs Division of the Public Works and Waste Management Department and Land Development/Right-of-Way Division of the Public Works and Waste Management Department, the Miami-Dade Police Department and the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department.
