TITLE RESOLUTION APPROVING THE STATE ROAD CODESIGNATION OF STATE ROAD 934/NW 79TH STREET BETWEEN NW 14TH AVENUE AND NW 9TH AVENUE AS �JACOB FLEISHMAN STREET� BODY WHEREAS, during the 2012 regular session, the Florida Legislature passed HB 7039, which, among other codesignations, codesignated State Road 934/NW 79th Street between NW 14th Avenue and NW 9th Avenue as �Jacob Fleishman Street�; and WHEREAS, Jacob Fleishman founded Jacob Fleishman Cold Storage, a fourth generation family business; and WHEREAS, section 334.071, Florida Statutes, provides that the installation of road codesignation signs shall be contingent on the applicable county or city commission passing a resolution in support of the particular honorary road codesignation; and WHEREAS, State Road 934/NW 79th Street between NW 14th Avenue and NW 9th Avenue is a state road located in unincorporated Miami-Dade County; and WHEREAS, this codesignation is located on the dividing line between County Commission Districts 2 and 3, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board: Section 1. Approves the state codesignation of State Road 934/ NW 79th Street between NW 14th Avenue and NW 9th Avenue as �Jacob Fleishman Street�. Section 2. Directs the Clerk of the Board to send certified copies of this Resolution to the United States Postal Service, the Traffic Signals and Signs Division of the Public Works and Waste Management Department and Land Development/Right-of-Way Division of the Public Works and Waste Management Department, the Miami-Dade Police Department, and the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department. |
