TITLE
RESOLUTION WAIVING TERM LIMITS BY A TWO-THIRDS (2/3) VOTE OF THE BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT FOR THE REAPPOINTMENT OF REGINALD CLYNE TO THE PLANNING ADVISORY BOARD

BODY
WHEREAS, on January 21, 2010, the Board of County Commissioners enacted Ordinance No. 10-06, amending Chapter 2, Section 2-11.38.2 of the Code of Miami-Dade County, Florida to permit the waiver of term limits for County Board members; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 2-11.38.2 of the Code of Miami-Dade County, no member shall serve for more than eight (8) consecutive years on a board unless waived by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the members present of the Board of County Commissioners; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Reginald Clyne served on the Planning Advisory Board for more than eight (8) years of consecutive service which terminated in February, 2013; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 2-109 of the Code of Miami-Dade County, members of the Planning Advisory Board serve four (4) year terms with vacancies being filled for the unexpired term by the Board of County Commissioners, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners wishes to waive the applicable term limits and reappoint Reginald Clyne to fill a vacancy on the Planning Advisory Board,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board hereby authorizes and approves, by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the Board, the reappointment of Reginald Clyne to the Planning Advisory Board.
