RESOLUTION RETROACTIVELY AUTHORIZING IN-KIND SERVICES FROM THE PARKS, RECREATION AND OPEN SPACES DEPARTMENT FOR THE APRIL 4, 2015 ''CABA 5K LAWYERS ON THE RUN'' EVENT SPONSORED BY THE CUBAN AMERICAN BAR ASSOCIATION PRO BONO PROJECT, INC. IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,000 TO BE FUNDED FROM THE BALANCE OF THE DISTRICT 7 FY 2014-15 IN-KIND RESERVE FUND

BODY
WHEREAS, the Cuban American Bar Association Pro Bono Project, Inc. has requested in-kind services from the Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department for the April 4, 2015 �CABA 5K Lawyers on the Run� in an amount not to exceed $1,000.00 (see attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application); and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the �CABA 5K Lawyers on the Run� event is to raise funds for the Cuban American Bar Association�s Pro Bono Project which offers legal services to low-income individuals including victims of domestic violence, children, immigrants, and human trafficking victims; and
WHEREAS, the Cuban American Bar Association Pro Bono Project, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization; and
WHEREAS, the �CABA 5K Lawyers on the Run� is a special event, as that term is defined in the attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application, and $1,000 of the in-kind services shall be funded from the balance of the District 7 FY 2014-15 In-Kind Reserve Fund,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board retroactively authorizes in-kind services from the Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department for the April 4, 2015 �CABA 5K Lawyers on the Run� event sponsored by the Cuban American Bar Association Pro Bono Project, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $1.000.00 to be funded from the balance of the District 7 FY 2014-15 In-Kind Reserve Fund.
