CHAIRWOMAN REBECA SOSA'S SPONSORED & CO-SPONSORED LEGISLATION

I am dedicated to meet the needs and concerns of our residents by sponsoring legislative items that improve the quality of life in Miami-Dade County. Please visit my legislative archive page featuring all my sponsored and co-sponsored legislation, such as:

  • File #130601 - Resolution directing the County mayor, or designee, to study and make a report on the feasibility of designated areas at regional County parks as “Senior Zones” and installing within these areas outdoor exercise equipment for senior citizens. Miami-Dade County has a large population of elderly residents and they would benefit from being more active and healthy in an outdoor setting.
  • File #130559 - Resolution supporting the Florida Department of Health’s campaign “Take the Train, Take the Test” offering free HIV testing to residents at select Miami-Dade Metrorail Stations.
  • File #130511 - Ordinance calling for the Commission Auditor to complete background research on any person, organization, place or thing that is the subject of a naming, renaming or codesignation of Miami-Dade County roads, facilities or property. The Board honors individuals and organizations that have made a direct and significant contribution to Miami-Dade County.
