The project consists of providing all labor, equipment, and supplies to perform:
One (1) installation of protective structure along a 113 LF section of existing
pipeline, consisting of 9,720 SQF of geotextile mat, Articulation Concrete Mat
(ACB), 360 CY of riprap bubble and 60 CY of washed stone; and two (2)
installation of protective structures along a 50 LF. Section of existing pipeline
consisting of 4,300 SQF of geotextile mat, ACB mat, 160 CY of riprap rubble and
ok30 CY of washed stone at the Central District Wastewater Treatment Plant
(CDWWTP) 120” ocean outfall pipeline. The permanent repair includes the
installation of articulated concrete block mats.
The work of this project includes, but is not limited to, immediate mobilization;
providing the services of commercial divers; complying with OSHA requirements;
furnishing and installing materials for the repair; furnishing and installing materials
necessary to provide scour protection on exposed areas of the Central District
Wastewater Treatment Plant (CDWWTP) 120” ocean outfall pipeline. The project
consists of the excavation of trenches, preparation of area immediately adjacent to
exposed pipe, furnishing and installation of geotextile, furnishing and installation of
washed rock, furnishing and installation of Articulated Concrete Block (ACB) Mats,
connection of mats to each other and connection of new mats to existing adjacent
mats, if present, and furnishing and installation of riprap armor in trenches overlying
ACB, and removal of debris incidental to the construction. Two areas are to be
repaired consisting of an approximate 84-foot length near Station 47+50 and an
approximate 103-foot length near Station 130+00. The two locations at Stations
47+50 and 130+00 are located at coordinates (25°44’39.9’’N, 80°06’55.1’’W) in a
depth of approximately 22 feet and at coordinates (25°44’34.9’’N, 80°05’24.7’’W) in
a depth of approximately 43 feet, respectively. Stations 47+50 and 130+00 are
approximately 9,135-ft and 17,366-ft offshore from the CDWWTP in Virginia Key,
Miami-Dade County, Florida.
