Arcola Lakes Park - Walkway Rehabilitation and Parking Lot Speed Bumps

Scope of Work: (Contractor must obtain and submit all permits prior to performing any work). Experience Requirement: Bidder or vendor key personnel experience shall have completed at least two (2) projects of similar size and scope in accordance with Resolution No. R-1122-21. Bidder shall provide evidence of this experience; project names; dollar values and contract information for verification purposes. The experience of the bidding or proposing Contractors’ key personnel will be considered in assessing the Contractor’s experience. This information should be entered on form 00450 Bidder's Statement of Qualifications and Business References, highlighting at least two comparable projects and using additional pages as needed. CONTRACTOR shall review all documents, specifications, and scope of work provided by Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department for work to be completed. Furnish all labor, equipment, and materials required to comply with the intent of the WORK described in the contract documents including but not limited to: Rehabilitate asphalt walkway section (approx. 1,280 sf), sealcoat remaining asphalt walkway (approx. 39,280 sf), install eighteen (18) speed bumps, and paint crosswalk (see attached site plan). 1. Mill area of asphalt walkway to an appropriate depth to mitigate severe cross slope and to accept standard 1 to 1.5-inch asphalt overlay (approx. 1,280 sf). See attached Site Plan 2. All connections to adjoining surfaces shall be key cut to allow for a clean, smooth/level finish transition. No separation or trip hazards will be accepted. 3. Remove root intrusions, root prune and repair subbase where needed. 4. Finished leveling course asphalt shall have no more than a 2% cross slope. 5. The remaining existing asphalt walkway (approx. 39,280 sf) shall receive asphalt sealcoat with an application rate of not more than 60 square feet per gallon. 6. The sealcoat shall be uniform and completely cover all existing asphalt walkway within the park. 7. Install 18 speed bumps in Senior Center parking lot as indicated in site plan. 8. Speed bumps shall be 6 inches high and have a travel length of 3 feet. 9. Speed bumps shall be painted with diagonal 8-inch-wide yellow lines spaced at 1-foot intervals with high quality traffic paint. 10. Speed bumps shall be uniform throughout the parking lot. 11. Paint crosswalk across furthest east driveway to match existing crosswalk design, material, and intent. 12. Contractors shall take ownership of all construction debris and dispose of it off site in accordance with local laws and regulations. 13. Construction debris must be removed daily. 14. Contractor shall restore all areas affected by the construction process to match existing see spec 575. 15. The contractor shall be responsible for all MOT including pedestrian and bicycle traffic. Note that work is further described in the contract documents listed in Project Volume I 00800 Supplemental General Conditions Article 1.28. NO PHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Verbal statements made by the County or the Owner’s Representative that are not contained in an RPQ or addendum to the RPQ are not binding on the County and should not form any basis for a bidder’s response to an RPQ. INDEMNIFICATION AND INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS: Refer to Project Manual Volume I - 00800 Supplemental General Conditions, Article 1.04 for requirements.
