Scope of Work: (Contractor must obtain and submit all permits prior to performing any work.) This work consists of disconnecting the existing water service pipe located at the rear of the premises and connecting the premise's water service pipe from the new water meter located in front of the property to the existing premises' water distribution system. Install approximately 80' of 1" type L soft tubing at 2951 and 2975 Shipping Ave, Coral Gables, FL 33134. The Contractor shall meet the homeowners, where the conversion will be performed and obtain the plumbing permit application to sign, pull plumbing permits from the Building Office of the municipality in which the work is to be performed, furnish all materials, labor, and equipment as specified or necessary for a complete Project, including trench excavation, place a sand/fine gravel bed on the bottom of the trench for pipe bedding, furnishing and installing the new water service from the new water meter located in front of the property to the existing portable water distribution system, which includes copper pipes, tube, fittings, valves and PVC valve box, and the installation of the new vacuum breaker at each existing and new hose bibb, perform pressure test to the new water service pipe under water pressure of a minimum of 50 psi, disinfect the new pipe, backfill and compact the trench, cut and plug existing water services located in the rear of the property, removal and disposal of the existing water meter box, filling void out (at the abandoned 1" wing style angle stop valve) with ready mix concrete to 2-inches above the existing and to be abandoned 1" wing style angle stop valve, place top soil on top of concrete and lay sod as needed to cover area or the necessary material to match the existing condition at this location, and perform final cleanup/restoration and landscaping of the disturbed areas to equal or better condition. The Work also includes safety and protection of the homeowner's property, obtaining necessary inspection from the Building Office of the municipality where the work is to be performed, proper disposal of removed materials and other appurtenant and miscellaneous related items, and work for a completed Project. The Contractor is also alerted that various "Standards" are used herein for reference and criteria and that he should obtain copies for general use and protection. Abbreviated titles are used throughout these Specifications, and although most of them are widely known, their complete titles are given below to avoid misunderstanding.
