The scope of work consists of the MDSO Kendall District Restroom+Locker Room/Gym and Desk Operations Center Renovations at Miam-Dade Sheriff's Office (MDSO) Kendall Station located at 7707 SW 117 Ave. Miami, FL 33183. The bidder shall carefully examine the project site, verify all existing field conditions, take necessary measurements, and become fully informed as to the nature and extent of the work required. Submission of a bid constitutes acknowledgment that the Bidder has examined the site and accepts all observable conditions. Any questions, request for information (RFI), or clarification requests regarding the materials, site conditions, conflicts, obstacles or any other project related matter must be submitted in writing to the assigned Construction Contracts Specialist, and copy the Clerk of the Board at [email protected] prior to the RFI submittal deadline of SEPTEMBER 29, 2026. RFI responses, if required, shall be issued via addenda after the RFI submittal deadline. Only written addenda shall be considered binding. Work includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, materials, supervision, equipment, tools, transportation, services, permits, related permitting expenses, inspections, and all other items necessary to complete the entire scope of work included in all construction documents and specifications. The bid price is also to include asbestos survey and the abatement of all non-friable asbestos (if applicable), all related permit fees and permitting expenses related therewith. The bid price shall include: • All related permit fees and permitting expenses related therewith. • Removal and lawful off-site disposal of all work-related debris. • Daily housekeeping. • Maintaining the work site in a minimum broom-clean condition at all times. All work is to be performed in strict accordance with: • The latest edition of the Florida Building Code (FBC). • All applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations. • Applicable FM Global requirements. • MDPD KENDALL STATION RESTROOM AND LOCKER ROOM/GYM AND DESK OPERATIONS CENTER RENOVATION CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS for permit application number C2025085288. The awarded Contractor shall: • Obtain all necessary permits as may be required by the Authority Having Jurisdiction. • Pay all associated permit fees. • Secure approvals from the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). • Obtain all inspections required for project completion. • No work shall commence until all required permits are issued. All required permits must be obtained by awarded contractor within 30 days of Notice to Proceed. This is a high security facility where all employees need to provide a driver’s license or other form of identification and will be subject to a background check prior to being granted access to site. Prospective bidders must show experience in renovation projects in high security environments of Police facilities, a minimum of 2 projects in the last five years. The work must be carried out in a manner that will not disturb the daily business operations of the building patrons. All work must be carried out during the hours of 7:00 am and before 5:00 pm. Any work to be performed outside of these hours must be coordinated and pre-approved by the MDSO Project Manager. The Contractor must provide, at least 48 hours’ notice prior to any work performed outside of the specified time frame. All work performed outside of the aforementioned working hours must be for the benefit of the Contractor. The MDSO will not be responsible for paying any additional compensation for working outside the aforementioned working hours.
