Prospective bidder shall carefully examine the site of the work and be satisfied as to all observable conditions. Bidder shall be responsible for measuring and calculating amount of work. Bid price is to include the removal and proper disposal of all work- related debris.
The project consists of, and is not limited to, furnishing all materials, labor, services, supervision, tools, equipment, including all associated permits, and all other items necessary for the successful completion of the project, which shall include the electrical lighting upgrades for the REG Courthouse exterior canopy.
The purpose of this project is to upgrade the exterior canopy of the Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building. To include new LED lighting and improve electrical efficiency as well as the visibility for the public.
The project is located at 1351 NW 12th St. Miami, FL 33125. The project dry-run submittal has been approved by Miami-Dade County Building Department. The process number with MDC is C2025132308. The contractor shall be responsible for verifying and obtaining all required permits for the project.
Permit cost to be included in the Base Bid Contract Cost. Miami Dade County will not reimburse any permit cost to the awarded Contractor.
The existing operation of the Facility must be maintained during construction. Contractor is responsible for coordinating access and construction activities to avoid any interruption to the operation of the REG Courthouse.
Examination of Bid Documents:
Before submitting a bid, the bidder shall examine the Bid Documents including Plans/Specs, which must be obtained from People and Internal Operations Department (PIOD) Kristina Hagberg after submitting a completed, notarized Confidentiality Affidavit.
Requests for Information (RFIs):
All requests for information (RFIs) shall comply with the Cone of Silence, Administrative Order 3-27 and shall be emailed to [email protected] with a copy to
[email protected] and [email protected]. The deadline to receive RFIs from bidders is no later than 2 PM on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. Responses cannot be guaranteed for RFIs submitted past the established deadline. Procedural questions may be entertained by phone or during the Pre-Bid Meeting.
Pre-Bid Meeting and Site Visit:
A MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING AND SITE VISIT ARE SCHEDULED. Bidder must submit a completed, notarized Confidentiality Affidavit in order to attend the Pre-Bid Meeting and Site Visit - form provided in the Bid Documents ([email protected], copy
[email protected]). Bidders who have not submitted a Confidentiality Affidavit will be requested to leave the Meeting and Site Visit. Meet at 1351 NW 12th Street, Miami, FL 33125 (REG Main Lobby) Bidders must allow sufficient time before MEETING/SITE VISIT. Bidders arriving after 10:10 AM WILL NOT be allowed into MEETING OR SITE VISIT.
Contractor must refer to the Request for Price Quotation (RPQ) and associated project documents for the detail Scope of Work.
