The Project, including mobilization and demobilization, consists of all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to construct a fully operational PS No. 0374. The scope includes installation of 103 linear feet of 6-inch, 347 linear feet of 8-inch, and 250 linear feet of 12-inch ductile iron pipe and ductile iron fittings for the sewage force main, and 228 linear feet of 8-inch and 198 linear feet of 10-inch C900 PVC pipe for the gravity sewer system. It also includes verification and soft excavation (soft dig) of underground utilities prior to the commencement of work.
The project involves the removal of one (1) existing plug and connection to an existing 12-inch sewage force main using a 12-inch solid sleeve. It includes furnishing and constructing automatic air release valve assemblies for the sewage force mains and providing mechanical joint restraints. A core drill connection will be made to an existing gravity sewer manhole to tie in the proposed ductile iron gravity sewer. Additionally, four (4) sanitary sewer manholes will be furnished and constructed to connect the 8-inch C900 PVC gravity sewer along NW 199th Terrace and the 10-inch C900 PVC gravity sewer along NW 27th Court. An existing 6-foot wet well will be converted into a manhole with a concrete protective coating.
The project includes furnishing and installing two new submersible FLYGT NP 3153.095 pumps, each with 253 mm impellers, 15 HP, and operating at 1755 rpm, along with all related equipment. All pipes, fittings, and appurtenances for the proposed PS will be furnished and installed, including emergency pump-out piping connections and a water line with a backflow preventer. A new valve vault, including
check valves and all necessary connections, will be installed over a 6-inch-thick bedding layer of FDOT No. 57 crushed stone.
The project also includes furnishing and installing the electrical and control systems, including all necessary electrical wiring and conduits. A 6' high black aluminum picket fence with a Podocarpus shrub border will be constructed. New plastic bollards will be installed, existing ones will be relocated, and the existing gate will be repositioned and fitted with a new “No Parking” sign.". An asphalt driveway and pavement will be furnished and installed, including pavement markings and signage at NW 199th Terrace, NW 27th Court, and NW 199th Street. Sheeting and shoring designated by the Engineer will be left in place. Additional suitable backfill will be provided, if necessary. All materials, equipment, and supplies necessary for cleaning and testing the mains will be furnished.
The project also includes cutting, dewatering, filling with flowable fill, and capping of existing ductile iron sewage force mains, as well as furnishing and constructing a reinforced concrete protective slab.
Demolition will involve the removal of existing asphalt pavement, sidewalk, and sod, including the transportation, salvage, and legal disposal of demolition debris. Traffic control measures will be implemented throughout construction.
Temporary and permanent replacement of any damaged pavement, driveways, sidewalks, concrete medians, curbs and gutters, sod, landscaping, and pavement markings will be carried out. Electrical work includes the installation of a light pole inside the easement of PS No. 0374. Coordination with FPL will be required for the provision of a new electrical service from a new pad-mounted transformer.
Finally, all mechanical work, Pump Station startup, and system testing will be completed. This includes testing with the presence of both the incoming gravity sewer pipe and the effluent force main, as well as full testing of the gravity and force main pipelines. The project also includes all other appurtenant and miscellaneous items necessary to deliver complete, satisfactory, and fully functional installation.
