TITLE
RESOLUTION RETROACTIVELY AUTHORIZING IN-KIND SERVICES FROM THE MIAMI-DADE TRANSIT AGENCY FOR THE FEBRUARY 22, 2008 ELDERLY SERVICES PROGRAM SPONSORED BY WARD TOWERS TENANT ASSOCIATION INC., A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,188.00 TO BE FUNDED FROM THE DISTRICT 3 IN-KIND RESERVE FUND

BODY
WHEREAS, the Ward Towers Tenant Association, Inc. has requested in-kind services from the Miami-Dade Transit Agency for the February 22, 2008 Elderly Services Program in an amount not to exceed $1,188.00 (see attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application); and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Elderly Services Program is to allow elderly residents of Ward Towers Senior Center an opportunity to attend and participate in the celebration of the Historic Virginia Key Beach Park "Paradise Renewed" Grand Re-opening; and
WHEREAS, Ward Towers Tenant Association, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization; and
WHEREAS, the Elderly Services Program is a small event, as that term is defined on the attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application, and the in-kind services shall be funded from the District 3 In-kind Reserve Fund,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board retroactively authorizes in-kind services from the Miami-Dade Transit Agency for the February 22, 2008 Elderly Services Program in an amount not to exceed $1,188.00 to be funded from the District 3 In-kind Reserve Fund.
