REPORT: Assistant County Attorney Bruce Libhaber read into the record the foregoing proposed resolution. Commissioner Higgins pointed out the incident on the Metromover system shutdown in August 2019 without notice to the Board or the public and stated penalizing transit riders was not an option. In response to Chairman Bovo's inquiry about creating alerts to notify the riders of system shutdowns via the Transit Watch mobile app, Deputy Mayor Jennifer Moon stated they had used the media as a form of communication, for example, the County's Facebook page to announce changes in transportation. Hearing no more questions or comments, the members of the Transportation and Finance Committee proceeded to vote on the foregoing proposed resolution as amended to provide a report to the Board in 90 days rather than 60 days.
