Stevedore Permits & Licenses

The Port Director determines the number of stevedoring permits/licenses issued each year based on a number of factors including port congestion, space limitations, throughput volumes, operational needs, industry trends and more. In general, permit applications are available November of each year with permits being issued in January of the following year.

 

Permits

Permits are issued to companies to perform stevedoring activities at PortMiami for the year beginning January 2016 and expiring January 2017. All documentation must be completed and returned by noon on December 14, 2015.

 

Licenses

Licenses are issued to individuals to perform stevedoring activities within Miami-Dade County for the year beginning January 15, 2016 and expiring January 14, 2017.

The following documentation must be completed and returned to the Port by noon on December 14, 2015.
