This project includes a specialized playground requiring CPSI. Please review experience requirements below. SCOPE OF WORK: A. CONTRACTOR shall review all documents, specifications, plans and scope of work provided by Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department (PROS) for work to be completed. Furnish all labor, equipment, and materials required to comply with the intent of the work described in the contract documents. B. This project includes but is not limited to: CONTRACTOR shall install, as per plans and specifications, new playground equipment, concrete walkways, concrete curbing, PIP Resilient Surface, Engineered Wood Fiber Surface (EWF), bike rack, benches, trash receptacles and perform site preparation, earthwork and earth mound as shown on plans and described herein. Also included is the installation of new trees, sod, and plant materials as shown on construction documents. Restoration of all areas, including walkways and lawns, which are damaged during the construction process. Alternate 1: Basketball court surfacing, equipment and accessories (CONTRACTOR provided and CONTRACTOR installed) C. The scope shall include the following features: Oolite Blocks (CONTRACTOR provided and CONTRACTOR installed);Tremron Brick Pavers and accessories (CONTRACTOR provided and CONTRACTOR installed); Poured-in-Place (PIP) rubber safety surface, by No Fault Sports, or approved equal (CONTRACTOR provided and CONTRACTOR installed); Engineered Wood Fiber surface (EWF), by Zaeger Bros., Inc., or approved equal (CONTRACTOR provided and CONTRACTOR installed).; Handrails (CONTRACTOR provided, and CONTRACTOR installed); Dumor benches, bike rack and trash receptacles (OWNER provided, CONTRACTOR installed).; Landscape Structures, Inc. Playground Equipment (OWNER provided, CONTRACTOR installed).; Foundations, concrete curbs, and safety surfaces in project scope are CONTRACTOR’s responsibility.; Fiber reinforced concrete walkways; New trees (various) with planter beds and sod. Alternate 1: Basketball court surfacing, equipment and accessories (CONTRACTOR provided and CONTRACTOR installed) D. CONTRACTOR shall coordinate with OWNER’s team to accept control of this equipment and procure any and all necessary accessories, hardware, connectors, etc. required to complete the installation in accordance with the scope of the work and the design intent. E. OWNER provided equipment will be delivered to site 30 days after NTP. CONTRACTOR is responsible for accepting the equipment and checking inventory upon delivery. CONTRACTOR will be responsible for all handling, storage and securing of equipment provided by Owner. If the CONTRACTOR is not ready for the installation of the equipment, it will be the responsibility of the CONTRACTOR to safely and efficiently store and secure all the equipment at no extra cost to the OWNER. F. CONTRACTOR shall implement tree protection measures, per plans. G. This is a general description of the scope of work and is not necessarily all inclusive. Work is further described and clarified in the contract documents and within plans listed in 1.28 INDEX OF DRAWINGS & SPECIFICATIONS. H. CONTRACTOR is hereby advised that permits are based on the Contract Documents. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) Certification held by Owner, principal or direct employee of the company actively engaged in the scope of work. Bidders must have relevant professional experience with projects similar in size and scope and shall provide evidence of this experience; project names; dollar values; and contact information for verification purposes. This information should be entered on the Bidders’ Statement of Qualifications and Business Reference Form, using additional pages as needed. Bidder is required to submit all the specified information, documents and attachments with their bid submittal as proof of compliance to the requirements of this RPQ. However, the County may, at its sole discretion and in its best interest, allow the bidders to complete, supplement, or supply the required documents during the bid evaluation period. Failure to provide the required documentation as specified by the County shall result in the bidder(s) quote being declared non-responsive. A full bid package of the Bid Documents must be requested directly from the Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department or your bid will be deemed non-responsive. In accordance with Miami-Dade County Implementing Order 3-9, Accounts Receivable Adjustments, if money is owed by the Contractor to the County, whether under this Contract or for any other purpose, the County reserves the right to retain such amount from payment due by County to the Contractor under this Contract. Such retained amount shall be applied to the amount owed by the Contractor to the County. The Contractor shall have no further claim to such retained amounts which shall be deemed full accord and satisfaction of the amount due by the County to the Contractor for the applicable payment due herein.
