SCOPE OF WORK: The scope of work consists of, but is not limited to, furnishing all materials, labor, services, supervision, tools, equipment, permits and all other safety measures and items necessary for the removal of the existing roofing material down to the existing concrete deck, preparation of deck to receive the installation of new roofing material and all necessary roofing accessories as per the re-roofing plans and specifications and in accordance with the requirements of the Florida Building Code and the roofing material manufacturer's recommendation in order to receive manufacturer's warranty for completed installation. Scope of re-roofing work includes extension of all Drains and Exhaust Vent Curbs, and all other associated construction work required as indicated on Consultant plans. Town of Cutler Bay plan process number is : BCRF 02-14-0055. Scope of work also includes the removal of joint sealants of all glazing and the application of joint sealants at metal-to-metal joints, metal-to-glass joints, and metal to concrete joints of all exterior glazing and doors of all rooftop structures (Clear Story Enclosure, Mechanical Equipment Structure, and Stair Case Enclosure) and the preparation of the masonry surface of the rooftop structures to receive new Waterproofing Paint. LIGHTNING PROTECTION SYSTEM NOTE: Existing Building Lightning Protection System is present on roof. Existing System shall remain operational during construction. Removal and replacement of the Lightning Protection System Components shall proceed in conjunction with the roof replacement. At the conclusion of the roof replacement, the existing and where necessary augmented lightning protection system shall be recertified to obtain a Lightning Protection Institute Inspection Certificate. WORKING HOURS: Working hours will be evening hours only, Monday through Friday, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Saturdays, Sundays including Holidays will be available all day with a prior written approval by the building manager and the project manager. This is due to Judges objection to high noise levels during roof demolition/construction activities when courtrooms are in sessions. Special Requirements: Note; as per the Technical Specifications, Section 07 5200, Modified Bitumen Membrane Roofing, Sub-Section 1.06 Submittals, A-1; Roofing contractor must be an acceptable contractor (certified) authorized to install the proposed Siplast roofing system.
