CONTRACTOR TO FURNISH THE NECESSARY MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT AND LABOR TO ACCOMPLISH THE FOLLOWING: SCOPE OF WORK- Phase 2 ONLY The work, in general consists of but not limited to the following: For the purposes of this RPQ, the scope of work that follows is strictly limited to Phase 2, herein noted on the provided site plan and accompanied drawings. Contractor is to exclude all work pertaining to the temporary trailer (N.I.C.) noted on the provided site plan and accompanied drawings. All other items on the plans/specifications are to be included. No other work is to be included in this proposal. • Layout of Work: The work, in general consists of cut, removal and dispose of existing Asphalt at designated areas as needed to accommodate new concrete slabs for Steel Containers. Make reference to the project contract drawings for site locations and details. Fire Station #83- located at 8141 NW 80th street, Miami, Fl. 33166. • New Gable Canvas Apparatus Awning. (Refer to plans for location and details). GC to provide shop drawings for approval prior to fabrication. Canopies are to be inclusive of all asphalt cutting/patching, compaction, engineering calculations, necessary shop drawings, and engineer designed footings required for the structures. • Furnish and Install (3) new insulated roof canopies (refer to site plan for locations). Canopies are to be inclusive of all asphalt cutting/patching, compaction, engineering calculations, necessary shop drawings, and engineer designed footings required for the structures. Contractor is to refer to plans for approximate minimum dimensions to accommodate MDFR Fire Engine Vehicles. Color it TBD. GC to provide MDFR PM a color palate prior to purchase and fabrication for approval. • Proposed gym w/ (2) 8’x20’ (High Cube) container structures, shall be installed by the GC on a new 6” min(V.I.F.) concrete reinforced slab. Containers are to be anchored to the new slab and fastened to each other as shown on plans. Contractor to refer to plans and specs regarding interior/exterior finishes and necessary equipment i.e. HVAC, electrical, (see exercise room equipment schedule for list of GC provided exercise equipment). • Exercise Fitness & Equipment System: The contractor shall provide the necessary labor, material and equipment to furnish, assemble and install All exercise equipment shown on floor plan & equipment schedule, inside the steel container as shown herein the project contract drawings. Note, window(s) and doors on the containers must have NOAs and have Miami Dade county product approval. Compaction testing and termite treatment to the new slab is by contractor. Compaction reports and termite certificate are to be provided to MDFR pm. • Proposed new Bunker Gear Room w/ (1) 8’x20’ (High Cube) container structure, shall be installed by the GC on a new 6” min (V.I.F.)concrete reinforced slab. Container to be anchored to the new slab and fastened as shown on plans. Contractor to refer to plans and specs regarding interior/exterior finishes and necessary equipment. • GearGrid Standard Wall Mounted Lockers: The contractor shall provide the necessary labor, material and equipment to furnish, assemble and install (21) GearGrid wall mounted lockers with doors; Color: Red - 20”W x 20”D x72”H (21-Openings/Bank of 21). Gear Hanger Hanging Rods-20”, and Gear Hanger Secure Bracket Kits; to be installed inside the steel container as shown herein contract drawings, sheet A-2.0, for details. Bunker Gear containers are to be provided with the appropriate steel backing, to receive full wall height with Diamond Plate finish for wall mounted GearGrid-lockers. GC to coordinate backing type and locations with manufacturer, see herein contract drawings for details. • Proposed new EMS room w/ (1) 8’x20’ (High Cube) container structure, shall be installed by the GC on a new 6” min(V.I.F.) concrete reinforced slab. Container to be anchored to the new slab and fastened as shown on plans. Contractor to refer to plans and specs regarding interior/exterior finishes and necessary equipment. • EMS Room: Adjacent to the Geargrid container, contractor shall provide the necessary labor, material and EMS equipment to furnish, assemble and install (8) Metal Storage Racks F1 & F2, to be installed inside the steel container as shown herein contract drawings A-2.0, for details. • HVAC, electrical, Note, window(s) and doors on the containers must have NOAs and have Miami Dade county product approval. Compaction testing and termite treatment to the new slab is by contractor. Contractor to include in proposal ALL drywells and condensate lines pertaining to ALL HVAC units within this scope of work, inclusive of asphalt patching and repairs. • New HVAC units to be mounted on exterior welded heavy duty, 2” minimum steel angles, painted with rust proof epoxy paint. • Containers are to be in new condition. Used containers will not be approved nor accepted. Documentation certifying containers are new are to be provided to MDFR PM. Containers are to be watertight and properly sealed at all new weld areas and new penetrations. • GC to provide a new gate controller island. Refer to site plans for locations and details. New Inner loop is also to be included and installed in existing asphalt. Refer to site plan for location. All asphalt cutting/patching and repairs is also to be included. • GC to provide and install new pedestal mounted dual combo card reader/keypad. All conduits and wiring are to be provided and installed by contractor. • Provide new FDOT thermoplastic parking lot stripping at various locations throughout subject site. Refer to site plans for said locations. Additional Electrical Scope of Work: The following is to be included as part of this RPQ: • Electrical/Low Voltage 1. Furnish all labor, equipment and materials required to complete all of the Electrical Work as further described below and within plans provided. 2. Contractor shall provide and install 1” conduit with pull string from trailer IT closet to containers as shown in drawings. Coordinate exact location with MDFR Project Manager. 3. Contractor shall not be responsible for the following wiring systems inside the temporary trailers. a. US Digital Alert/Recall system wiring, devices, and terminations. b. Fire alarm system wiring, devices, and terminations. c. Data Cabling wiring, devices, and terminations. 4. Conduits installed under vehicle traffic areas shall be no less than 24” in depth (top of conduit). 5. Contractor shall not de-energize any electrical panel or circuit without the approval of MDFR Project Manager. 6. Contractor shall provide submittals and/or shop drawings for MDFR approvals prior to purchase of equipment. 7. Contractor shall be responsible for any damage done during trenching and excavating operations. 8. Contractor shall provide safety barricades, fence, etc. and to maintain all construction areas of the project in a safe manner. • Card Reader System (NEW INSTALLATION) 1. Required Equipment a. Genetec Mercury 2 Reader Interface PCB Board/Modules: Controls up to 6 Readers. b. Genetec Mercury Intelligent Controller: Interfaces with the reader boards. c. Genetec Cabinet Enclosure: LifeSafety Power E4M up to 8 Doors Enclosure with Mercury backplate. Large enough to house the controller and associated devices (batteries, power supplies, cloud link, etc.). d. Synergis Cloud Link: Includes necessary software. e. Surge Suppression Devices. f. Backup Batteries: Minimum rating of 7AH. g. Card Reader SIGNO Black, 20K: Reader locations are shown on plans (gates, entrances, exits etc.) Replace all existing card readers. h. Door Strikes: HES 9600/9700 Electric Strike for Rim Exit Devices 2. System Integration Requirements Licenses a. Include all necessary installation and operational licenses. 3. Coordination a. Work with MDFR IT Department to ensure seamless integration. 4. Execution of Work a. Wiring i. Existing wiring will remain in place and be used. New wiring will be required at new reader locations as shown on plans. b. Existing Devices i. Existing lock mechanisms and door contacts as shown on plans shall be removed and replaced. See section 1. ii. Existing Kantech controllers shall be removed and replaced. See section 1. iii. Existing network device connected to Kantech controllers shall be removed. c. New Devices i. New lock mechanisms, and door contacts shall be installed at new locations. 5. Product Submittals a. Provide to MDFR Project Manager for review before ordering. 6. Work Sequencing Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to complete work efficiently and meet project deadlines. Repairs and Repainting Contractor will repair and repaint any damaged walls, matching existing Fire Station colors, at their own cost. • Contractor shall be registered and certified with Genetec systems to perform tasks noted in sections 1-6 above. Dimensions and specifications indicated on the project contract drawings, shall be verified by the contractor. The contractor shall notify Miami-Dade Fire Rescue immediately of any deviations or conditions encountered which are contrary to those indicated on the project contract documents. Failure to make notifications shall place responsibility upon the contractor to carry out the work in a satisfactory and workmanlike manner. Contractor to provide labor, material, transportation and equipment and perform all operations associated and required to achieve the completion of the exterior site plan improvements herein specified. Contractor to follow and comply with the requirements listed on the RPQ and contract project drawings at all times. Contractor is responsible and required to comply with all requirements according to the Miscellaneous Construction Contractor MCC7360. The work shall be sequenced as necessary to coordinate the work of all subcontractors and suppliers in the most effective manner to diligently complete the work and meet the project schedule as well as the Contract completion deadline. Work required to be accomplished during off hours and weekends as necessary to meet the project schedule or sequence of the work, shall be performed by the contractor at no additional cost to owner. If contractor disturbs any existing adjacent areas and interior/exterior spaces, they shall repair or replace as needed to match existing or bring back to its original conditions. Additional work includes, but not limited to: Electrical - Contractor to provide and install All Electrical work including low-voltage associated with the proposed project contract drawings. Contractor shall be familiar with the project contract drawings as well as the project site. All Electrical installation work shall comply and meet All standard requirements of the NEC, FBC, and any other applicable Federal, State and local codes, such as local electric utility and telephone company. Plumbing/Piping - Contractor to provide and install All Plumbing/sewer work associated with the approved project drawings only if applicable. The contractor shall be familiar with the project contract drawings as well as the project site. Plumbing Installation work shall comply and meet all standard requirements of the NFPA, IFGC and NFGC. Shop Drawing’s approval required by MDFR, prior to any fabrication or ordering materials and installation, as well as Notice of Acceptance NOA. The awarded contractor shall provide (5) copies of the proposed Shop Drawings with calculations for review and approval no later than 5-days after receipt of Contract Award & Purchase Order. It is the intension of the Contract Project drawings for Station 83; thereto require that all materials be used in the manner intended by the manufacturer, and that all work be performed by the standards adopted by appropriate trade associated. To this objective, where a particular system, product, material or services is specified, the applicable current standard specifications or recommendations of the manufacturer are thereby incorporated. All construction related debris shall be removed by the contractor daily, as construction debris piling WILL NOT be allowed unless properly placed in a construction dumpster. Construction dumpster will be used for loose debris and construction waste materials, unless contractor removes the construction debris daily and immediately after each construction phase. Grounds during and after construction shall be clean of ALL related construction debris including nails, scrap materials, etc. Contractor is responsible and shall include the dumpster(s) and /or debris removal (hauling) as part of their project bid. Contractor storing of material will only be allowed by contractor written request and MDFR Construction written approval. If grounds are used for storing material, equipment, working area, etc., contractor to return grounds, grass areas to its original conditions; this include any damage occurred during construction phase process. Contractor is responsible for all Interior and Exterior wall paint damage as well as painting new scope of work areas, at the cost of the contractor, including cost of paint and labor to match existing paint colors. Contractor shall provide MDFRD with a three (3) years labor warranty after the FINAL acceptance approval by the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department, Project Construction Manager. MDFR Fire Rescue Facilities are NOT allowed for contractor’s use, therefore contractor SHALL provide OHSA approved portable toilets; service & maintain port-o-let and other temporary equipment for contractors and subcontractors use for the entirety of the project duration. Contractor and their employees are not allowed inside the fire stations for any reason other than emergency purposes. MDFR emergency vehicles have the Right-Of-Way at all times. Contractor’s and or Subcontractors are not to block or interfere with MDFR daily operations. Safety and Security Precautions – All on-site contractor’s personnel, shall have identification and or company business attire according to the rules and regulations set by the Miscellaneous Construction Contract MCC7360. Contractor shall be responsible for the storage and protection of materials & equipment’s. Contractor shall provide barriers/ barricades etc. as necessary to prevent entry and protect construction employees/ personnel at all times. Contractor shall be responsible for all safety precautions and accident preventive provisions of OSHA and all applicable safety codes; Including no claims shall be made against (MDFR) by reason of any act of an employee or trespasser. Environmental Protection – Contractor shall be responsible for the prevention of environmental pollution including but not limited to: Dust control protection barriers to protect and seal off with visqueen plastic all adjacent interior spaces; etc. as a result of construction operations under this project contract.
