Scope of Work: (Contractor must obtain and submit all permits prior to performing any work). CONTRACTOR TO FURNISH THE NECESSARY PERMITS, MATERIALS AND LABOR TO ACCOMPLISH THE FOLLOWING: Introduction The work in general consists of the following: Interior/Exterior renovations which include all existing bathrooms, renovation of new kitchen in stainless steel (countertops and backsplash to be unpainted stainless) with new appliances, new HVAC system with new duct work, new acoustical ceilings with new lighting package, new exterior windows and storefront replacements, miscellaneous CMU & Brick work and repainting of the fire station both interior and exterior. The proposed new windows and doors are to be Miami-Dade County approved Impact Resistant with current NOAs. The scope is to be inclusive of removing the existing windows and doors with all the ancillary accessories accompanied…i.e. Kantech card reader systems, existing hurricane shutters, door sensors, electric door strikes, all existing doors hardware & Lock systems to be replaced with new (refer to plans and specs for details in door schedule remarks), etc. All (3) exterior Roll-up doors are also to be replaced with Miami-Dade county approved systems having current NOAs, and meeting current wind load calculations, inclusive of new commercial grade motors, door sensors and push-button controllers. The contractor is to refer to plans and specifications provided with the RPQ and Bid documents. Project Scope Description The project consists of Both Exterior and Interior renovations inclusive but not limited to: • Replacement of all windows and doors. Includes removal of existing hurricane shutters. • Demolition of the interior spaces to include dormitories, restrooms, kitchen, bathrooms, suspended ceilings both gypsum and acoustic, partial selective roof truss demo. • New bunker locker equipment manufactured by GearGrid, contractor to provide and install. • New interior partitions, to include all finishes to walls, floors and ceilings. • New bathrooms to include all wall/floor/ceiling finishes, toilet partitions, new plumbing fixtures, wall mounted fixtures, mirrors and new light fixtures. • All Stainless-Steel Kitchen cabinets with new stainless appliances provided by the contractor. • New security access card readers at marked locations to include new wiring and programing of new devices. • Painting throughout the station of all interior/exterior as per finish schedule. • Exterior work to include but is not limited to the following: All stucco patching, painting, exterior patio demo, concrete slabs, flatwork, asphalt work, asphalt striping, curbing, demo selective roof sections, new patio enclosure, new landscaping/sod/sprinklers, site lighting, new roof trusses with new roofing at selected locations, new structural slab/footings/columns, new flagpole. • New Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing/LP gas as per approved plans. • Contractor to include in their proposal the site preparation which includes but is not limited to electrical connections/water & sewer connections, concrete curb removal, asphalt repairs as needed in order to receive MDFR provided trailers/mobile port-o-lets/showers. The contractor is to refer to plans for locations of site prep. GC to coordinate and confirm final locations with MDFR Project Manager. • Contractor to provide and install new canvas awning at temp trailer locations. • CONTRACTOR IS TO PROVIDE ELECTRICAL AND PLUMBING CONNECTIONS TO ALL TEMPORARY FACILITIES • CONTRACTOR TO REFERENCE SITE PLAN SHEET A1.0 FOR LOCATIONS OF TEMPORARY FACILITIES. • THE CONTRACTOR IS TO PROVIDE ELECTRICAL AND PLUMBING CONNECTIONS TO ALL TEMPORARY FACILITIES. • ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS FOR TEMP FACILITIES ARE TO TIE INTO THE STATIONS EXISTING ELECTRICAL PANEL. • PLUMBING WATER CONNECTIONS FOR TEMP FACILITIES ARE TO TIE INTO THE STATIONS EXISTING WATER SUPPLY. • CONTRACTOR IS TO INCLUDE IN PROPOSAL THE CLEANING AND PUMP OUT OF TEMP BATHROOMS AND SHOWERS FOR THE PROJECT DURATION. • All work within the plans and specifications will be inclusive of all labor, materials and equipment to complete said scope. Trash Disposal & LEED Recycle Compliance; Earthwork; Site Clearing; Building; Civil; Structural; Low voltage; Electrical; Mechanical; Plumbing; Roofing; Interior Build-Out; Floor & Wall Tile; Stucco; Painting; Site Lighting; Railing; Security Care Access System and Coordination; Acoustical Ceiling; Cabinetry; Windows & Doors; Storefront; Screen Enclosure; Fire Alarm; Fire Sprinkler & Engineering; AT&T; CATV; FPL; Utility Reconnection; Signage; Asphalt & Paving, Asphalt Reconstruction; Stripping; Irrigation; Landscaping; Flag Pole; Subterranean and Termite Control; Furniture, for a complete renovation and operation of a Fire Station Facility Contractor shall provide MDFRD with a three (3) years labor warranty after the FINAL acceptance approval by the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department, Project Construction Manager. MDFR Fire Rescue Facilities are NOT allowed for contractor’s use, therefore contractor shall consider portable toilets; service & maintain a port-o-let and other temporary equipment for contractor’s use. MDFR emergency vehicles have the Right-Of-Way at all times. Contractor’s and or Subcontractors are not to block or interfere with MDFR daily operations. Safety and Security Precautions – All on-site contractor’s personnel, shall have identification and or company business attire according to the rules and regulations set by the Miscellaneous Construction Contract 7360. The contractor shall be responsible for the storage and protection of all materials & equipment. Contractor shall provide barriers/ barricades etc.. as necessary to prevent entry and protect construction employees/ personnel at all times. The contractor shall be responsible for all safety precautions and accident preventive provisions of OSHA and all applicable safety codes; Including no claims shall be made against (MDFR) by reason of any act of an employee or trespasser. Environmental Protection – Contractor shall be responsible for the prevention of environmental pollution including but not limited to: Dust control protection barriers to protect and seal off with visqueen plastic all adjacent interior spaces; etc. as a result of construction operations under this project contract.
