Specialized Training Program

The Miami-Dade Public Safety Training Institute's (MDPSTI) Specialized Training Program, also known as the Entrepreneurial Program, was established in 1986 to provide highly specialized law enforcement and criminal justice training to members of the law enforcement community. What began as a relatively small and local pilot project has grown into an internationally recognized training program that has served law enforcement professionals from every continent around the globe.

Course topics range from introductory courses, such as Basic Fingerprint, to highly specialized and advanced courses, such as Underwater Police Science and Technology. Courses are generally three to five days in duration, and are hosted at the MDPSTI facility and various off-site training venues.
