Scope of Work: (Contractor must obtain and submit all permits prior to performing any work). SCOPE OF WORK: CONTRACTOR shall review all documents, specifications, plans, surveys, testing reports and scope of work provided by Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department for the Charles Deering Estate - Stone House Repairs. Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and materials required to comply with the intent of the WORK described in the contract documents and the experience to perform work within a Historic Building including but not limited to: Consultant design and specifications, permit requirements, coordination with site staff to accommodate schedule with site special events, handling of historic treatment, finishes and materials, both on the exterior and interior, experience with restoration of historic and commercial facilities. Charles Deering Estate – Stone House Repairs including Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical systems, and Roofing. Experience Requirement: Bidder or vendor key personnel shall have completed at least three (3) projects of similar size and scope in accordance with Resolution No. R-1122-21. Bidders must provide evidence of this experience, including project names, dollar values, and contact information for verification purposes. The experience of the bidding or proposing contractors’ key personnel will be considered in assessing the contractor’s overall qualifications. This information should be entered on Form 00450, Bidder's Statement of Qualifications and Business References, highlighting at least three comparable projects, with additional pages as needed. It is highly preferred that the contractor has experience as a specialty contractor, particularly in historic building roof replacement and specialty structural repairs. This may include expertise in delicate cleaning and matching of both interior and exterior finishes. Additionally, experience working in active park environments, with coordination around ongoing events, is strongly desirable. REQUEST FOR CLARIFICATION/INFORMATION: All Requests for Information (RFI) must be submitted electronically, in word format, by 11/04/2024 to [email protected] and a copy filed with the Clerk of the Board at [email protected] NO PHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Verbal statements made by the County or the Owner’s Representative that are not contained in an RPQ or addendum to the RPQ are not binding on the County and should not form any basis for a bidder’s response to an RPQ. Contractor shall comply with Resolution No. R-54-18 Cool Roofs, which require the utilization of Cool Roofs for all new construction, roofing maintenance, and re-roofing work where the surface material is replaced on County owned properties. All Addenda for this project will be available within the same link emailed for the Bid Documents. It is the Bidder’s responsibility to ensure receipt of all addenda, and any accompanying documentation. Acknowledgment of bid documents and addenda received by Bidders is a requirement when submitting Bids. Failure to return signed receipts as part of your Bid Submittal may deem the bid non-responsive. Bids received after the bid submittal date and time stipulated above will not be considered. The County reserves the right to postpone or cancel the bid opening at any time prior to the scheduled opening, reject any and or all Bids, to waive informalities and irregularities, or to re-advertise the Project. The County, choosing to exercise its right of rejection, does so without imposition of any liability against the County.
