North Dade Chiller Plant – Critical Infrastructure Hardening

Prospective bidder shall examine carefully the site of the work and be satisfied as to all observable conditions. Bidder shall be responsible for measuring and calculating amount of work. Bid price is to include the removal and proper disposal of all work- related debris. The project includes the replacement of the existing storefront windows and doors with an impact resistant product as well as constructing flood barriers to mitigate flooding. The scope of work is described wherein and detailed in the construction documents as follows: • Procurement and installation of 5 FRA (Flood Risk America or Equal) 3-foot-high minimum flood panels. • All associated installation equipment and materials for the flood panels. • All associated concrete, patch and repair work (as required), if the existing conditions do not support the forces explained in the structural analysis provided. • Procurement and installation of all impact resistant windows and doors. The project dry-run submittal has been approved by Miami-Dade County Building Department. The process number with MDC is C2024147909. The contractor shall be responsible for verifying and obtaining all required permits for the project. The estimated construction cost is $196,110.00. This estimate includes $5,712.00 in estimated permit fees. The Bid shall consist of the Base Bid amount (Lump Sum) inclusive of all permit fees and excluding Contingency. NOTE: There are no Dedicated Allowances on this Project. A 10% Contingency will be added to the Base Bid at Project Award.
