Audrey Pumariega is a member of the Tort Liability & Medical Malpractice Section and Federal Litigation Section.

Before joining the County Attorney's Office, she was a partner at McDermott Will & Emery LLP, where she represented an array of clients, including numerous Fortune 50 companies, in federal and state litigation involving complex commercial disputes, health care disputes, personal injury, professional malpractice, products liability, fraud, breach of fiduciary duties, auditing, and accounting, among other things. She has also advised clients on regulatory issues in the health care industry. In recognition for her work in these areas, Super Lawyers Magazine has named Audrey a "Rising Star" every year since 2013.

Audrey has extensively litigated the issue of what constitutes the market rate (or "UCR") for health care services provided at hospitals and other facilities, and she has advised clients on health care regulatory issues such as illegal kickbacks and patient brokering.
