NOA File Status Key:

File Pending – Submittal is undergoing the initial review before assigning it for technical review. 

File Assigned for Technical Review – File is on queue awaiting the technical review to start. 

Working – Product Control Examiner is conducting the technical review. 

Additional Info. Requested – Applicant needs to respond to items requested in order to resume with the technical review. 

File Assigned for Additional Review – Additional information received and file on queue awaiting additional technical review. 

File Complete – File scheduled to be issued NOPA on Friday. 

NOPA to Approve Issued – (Notice of Proposed Action) Review completed and a draft of the NOA has been sent to the applicant.  NOA is scheduled for approval on Thursday. 

File Approved – NOA is valid and can be used. 

NOPA to Remove Issued – (Notice of Proposed Action) NOA is in the process of being removed. 

Superseded – NOA has been revised and a newer one exists.  The NOA can still be used until expiration date. 

File Closed – NOA is no longer valid. Loss of quality assurance, product not in compliance with the issued NOA, or product abandoned or discontinued.

Expired – NOA is no longer active.
