Scope of Work:
(Contractor must obtain and submit all permits prior to performing any work).
Scope of Work includes mechanical and electrical upgrades for the Medical Examiner’s mechanical room 103 where the building’s existing chillers reside. The upgrades include the replacement of two (2) Chiller units, new piping for the chillers, the replacement of all pumps within the chiller room, the provisioning of Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) in the new system, replacement of Cooling Tower #3 on the roof and all associated electrical upgrades to accommodate equipment replacement. General contractor to implement repairs and renovations per construction documents.
The following Requirements, Restrictions, and/or Conditions apply to this project:
• Contractor must clear a background check with the police department prior to beginning work.
• Bid price to include the cost for the background check.
• All workers are required to wear a shirt/uniform that identifies the company of the contractor or his subcontractors.
• All workers are required to sign in and out with building security.
• Contractor must comply with OSHA regulations and CDC guidelines.
• Contractor is responsible for maintaining all building areas clean at all times.
• Parking is not available onsite; parking of any vehicles/equipment is the responsibility of the contractor.
• Crane set up location to be coordinated with building management and project manager.
• All deliveries to be coordinated with building management and project manager.
• Contractor responsible for proper debris removal and recycling. Equipment removed from the project site, shall be properly disposed of, and receipt and/or manifest shall be submitted to the project manager.
• Contractor responsible for providing a dumpster.
• Dumpster location to be coordinated with building management.
• The contractor shall submit all close-out documentation and warranty, etc., at completion of the project.
The bid price shall include the removal and proper off-site disposal of all work-related debris. All work is to be performed in accordance with the latest edition of the Florida Building Code (FBC) and all local, state, and federal regulations. Bid price is also to include all related permit fees and permitting expenses related therewith.

The project is located at 1851 NW 10th Avenue, Miami, FL 33136.
The estimated construction cost is $2,711,058.93. This estimate includes $65,169.69 estimated permit fees and $39,169.69 for survey and testing. The Bid consist of the Base Bid amount (Lump Sum) inclusive of all permit fees and survey and testing and excluding Contingency.
NOTE: There are no Dedicated Allowances on this Project. A 10% Contingency will be added to the Base Bid at Project Award.
