The scope of the project includes the installation of a new air-cooled chiller rated at 92.25 TON in the old cooling tower courtyard, with its corresponding supports (refer to structural drawings). New chilled water piping will be extended from the new chiller courtyard up to the old chiller room and at the point of connection as shown and depicted on the submitted drawings. A new air separator, expansion tank, and chemical pot feeder have been specified accordingly. Chiller system will remain stand-alone; no controls are part of this scope of work. Power connections are to be provided for the new chiller from existing panel “MDP2” as depicted on drawings.
A new vertical floor mounted AHU has been specified. Existing ceiling mounted AHU-1 shall be removed. Scope of work includes the demolition, chilled water and ductwork modifications (inclusive of new added O/A supply in-line fan) and related ceiling work as depicted on drawings. New AHU-1 shall be powered from the existing AHU power feeder and new SF-1 shall be powered from existing panel “ILC” as depicted on drawings.

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
At the time of Bid and pursuant to the requirements of Section 10-3 of the Code of Miami-Dade County, Florida and these Solicitation and Contract Documents, the Bidder must hold a valid, current, and active:
1. Certificate of Competency from the County’s Construction Trades Qualifying Board as General Mechanical or a General Engineering Contractor, Air Conditioning Unlimited, or.
2. Certification, as a General Contractor or Mechanical Contractor provided by the State of Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board, pursuant to the provisions of Section 489.115 of the Florida Statutes (F.S.), or.
3. Proof of such Certificate(s) must be submitted at the time of initial response and maintained current throughout the contract period. The County may request proof of continued certification at any time during the contract period. Failure to provide such proof within five (5) working days from notification by the County shall result in the removal from the contract and the rejection of any current or future RPQ bid submissions.
INDEMNIFICATION AND INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS:
The Contractor shall furnish to Department of Transportation and Public Works, 111 NW 1 Street, Miami Florida 33128, Certificate(s) of Insurance which indicate that insurance coverage has been obtained which meets the requirements as outlined below:
1. Worker’s compensation insurance for all employees as required by Florida Statute 440.
2. Commercial General Liability in an amount not less than $300,000 per occurrence, and $600,000 in the aggregate not to exclude coverage for Products and Completed Operations Miami-Dade County must be shown as an additional insured with respect to this coverage.
3. Automobile Liability Insurance covering all owned, non-owned and hired vehicles used in connection with the work, in an amount not less than $300,000 combined single limit per occurrence for bodily injury and property damage.
