Safety is our top priority

The Miami-Dade County Department of Emergency Management (DEM) and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) are working with local, state, and federal partners to support emergency preparedness, public safety, weather monitoring, and rapid emergency response throughout FIFA World Cup 2026. Together, they are helping ensure a safe and informed experience for residents and visitors while maintaining essential services countywide.

Public Safety & Emergency Response

Miami-Dade County Department of Emergency Management remains committed to supporting a safe, coordinated, and informed FIFA World Cup 2026 experience for residents and visitors. The department will continue working alongside local, state, federal, and regional partners to support emergency preparedness, response coordination, and public safety operations throughout the tournament period.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) is actively involved in supporting all aspects of the FIFA World Cup. We’re working alongside event organizers and public safety partners to enforce fire and life-safety codes and respond rapidly to any emergencies that arise during the tournament at the stadium and surrounding areas. At the same time, we are committed to maintaining uninterrupted service to our community throughout the tournament.

In Case of an Emergency

The Department of Emergency Management (DEM) will support emergency coordination efforts through the County’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC), as needed, during FIFA World Cup 2026 operations.

Keep Our County Clean

Millions of fans and visitors are expected to visit Miami-Dade during this summer's international soccer events. Help keep our community clean and welcoming by disposing of trash properly and using available recycling and waste containers at venues, fan events, parks, beaches, and public spaces.

If you’re celebrating at a rental property or at home, we encourage the use of reusable cups and cutlery to reduce plastic waste. Remember to recycle right: paper, cardboard, cans, glass bottles and jars, plastic bottles, jugs, and tubs, paper cups, and clear plastic cups are all recyclable in our curbside program.
