International Trade Consortium Board Committees
The Executive Committee
Required by BCC ordinance. The Chair of the ITC Board shall chair this committee, and its members are:
- ITC Board Vice Chair
- ITC Board Secretary (Elected)
- ITC Board Treasurer (Elected)
- Miami International Airport Representatives
- Port of Miami Representatives
- Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau Representatives
- Chairs of the Trade Promotion and Marketing Committee
- Missions Committee
- Sister Cities
- Consular Corps
- Protocol Committee
The Executive Committee is empowered to act on behalf of the ITC Board on all matters when the full Board cannot meet; it shall also be responsible for implementing ITC policies. Its decisions will be subject to ratification by the entire ITC Board of Directors. Committee quorum shall consist of five committee members.
The Trade Promotion and Marketing Committee
The committee shall address alliances, workshops and conferences. In addition, the committee shall recommend marketing programs, in support of the agency’s outreach initiatives. The committee chair may at his/her discretion request the participation on a non-voting basis of other interested stakeholders. Committee quorum shall consist of three committee members.
The Missions Committee
This committee shall recommend countries for trade promotion activities, including countries for any future inbound or outbound business development missions. The committee shall also ensure coordination with other local economic development agencies. The members shall endeavor to provide value added support for incoming missions. The committee chair may at his/her discretion request the participation on a non-voting basis of other interested stakeholders. Committee quorum shall consist of three committee members.
The Sister Cities, Consular Corps and Protocol Committee
Required by BCC ordinance. This committee shall recommend activities for the Sister Cities Program. It shall also promote a closer working relationship between Miami-Dade County and the Consular Corps and function as its liaison. In addition, the committee shall recommend new sister cities affiliations and emeritus status for those that are inactive. It shall also work with relevant community agencies in recommending programs that enhance international cultural understanding. This committee will deal with protocol issues relating to visiting dignitaries. The committee Chairs may at his/her discretion request the participation on a non-voting basis of other interested stakeholders. Committee quorum shall consist of three committee members.
