A voice was heard on May 24th. Miami-Dade's District 7 asked for change in local governance. My commitment is to honor your trust being a voice of reform, opening opportunities to all, seeking equity, efficiency, and respect for the taxpayer. The most effective policy is made in consultation with the community while expanding the boundaries of the possible. I bring my experience, energy, and enthusiasm to this effort.
Mom & Pop application process closed
The application distribution process for the District 7 Mom & Pop Small Business Grant Program is now closed. For those who have completed applications, please be sure to turn them in to the commissioner's office between February 6 and February 10, 2012 by 5 p.m. Call 305-375-5680 for more information.

Chairman Joe A. Martinez and the Board of County Commissioners hosted the Installation Ceremony for newly-elected Commissioners Xavier L. Suarez, District 7, and Esteban Bovo, Jr., District 13. The ceremony took place at the Stephen P. Clark Center's Commission Chambers in Downtown Miami.
