Carlos A. Gimenez was first elected to the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners on November 2, 2004. He was re-elected for a second term without opposition in August 2008.  As Commissioner for District 7, he represents numerous municipalities, including the City of Miami, the Village of Key Biscayne, the City of Coral Gables, the City of South Miami, the Village of Pinecrest, as well as areas of unincorporated Miami-Dade County.

Applications for the Mom and Pop Small Business Grant Program in District 7 are no longer available. The application deadline was Monday, January 25, 2010.

Commissioner Carlos A. Gimenez participated in the Paciencia Park dedication near the South Miami Metrorail Station.

Commissioner Gimenez joined the students at Temple Beth Am in Pinecrest for “International Bike and Walk to School Day”.
