As we continue our recovery and cleanup efforts, please visit the Emergency website for the latest information on openings and closings in Miami-Dade County.
Miami-Dade Emergency Management (MDEM) is responsible for the year-long coordination of the DAE program, including the maintenance of the DAE database and DAE training. Furthermore, prior to hurricane season, MDEM will pre-assign staff into certain DAE programs.
Upon the activation of the Emergency Operation Center, Department Personnel Representatives (DPR) become the initial point of contact with regards to their respective DAE employees and will provide information regarding specific assignments. The EOC will coordinate DAE role activation. DAEs with personnel concerns may call the Contact Center at 305-468-5900.
This program will be reviewed annually by MDEM staff to amend and improve it based on lessons learned during the year.
