Maintenance Alert

The Miami-Dade County Portal will be undergoing maintenance starting at 11 p.m. Saturday, May 3 and for all of Sunday, May 4. Intermittent outages may be experienced. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Thank you for your patience as we improve our online services.

2014 Hurricane Evacuation Centers

OEM partners with Dade County Public Schools and the American Red Cross (ARC) to operate Hurricane Evacuation Centers (HEC). These HECs provide refuges of last resort for those individuals who need to evacuate and are unable to make their own evacuation/sheltering arrangements, such as with friends, family, or in hotels outside of the evacuation zones. During evacuations, Miami-Dade County also offers Pet Friendly Evacuation Centers for residents living in evacuation areas, unsafe structures or mobile homes. A family member must stay with the pet. For more information, call 3-1-1 or visit Animal Services Department's page on Pet Safety.

Bus Pickup Points

For those individuals who do not have their own transportation to the HECs, this is provided by Miami-Dade Transit via "emergency evacuation bus pick-up sites" throughout the County's evacuation zones.

Miami-Dade Transit Agency Bus Pick-Up points will be activated only for hurricane evacuations. Residents should listen to the media or call 3-1-1 to find out when the buses will transport people from the pick-up points to Red Cross Evacuation Centers. Buses
that will transport people for hurricane evacuations will have a special notice on the front of the bus where the route information is displayed.

Emergency & Evacuation Assistance Program (E&EAP)

Miami Dade Residents who require evacuation assistance during an emergency should register for the Emergency & Evacuation Assistance Program (E&EAP).
